Qualifications and Experience

  • As a therapist I specialize in working with adults who have addictions and trauma issues. I have worked in several capacities. I have done lots of parole and probation work, social service collaboration with several EAP agencies as well as Child Welfare and also serve many state assisted clients. This includes extensive assessment, treatment and follow up with representatives in the medical and legal world for complex case management oversight.
  • Extensive Case Management roles in multiple agencies and supervisory experience. I was also responsible for support and training in multiple agencies as well.
  • Clinical Care Manager whose responsibility is for the oversight of all inpatient psychiatric care for the CCO of WVCH. In this role I consult in care coordination and case management of all acute care persons within a5 county region which includes comprehensive discharge planning within a7 day metric as per Oregon Health Authority. The other main role I hold is for oversight of all Detox Services in network and out of network to authorize services and consult about step down care. I also support other members of the community of WVCH.
  • Counselor for a community mental health agency specializing in trauma and addiction. Experience working with adults, teens, children, families, clients with Developmental Disabilities and SPMI’s by performing individual, group, couples and family work including assessment and treatment planning and advocacy. I also did all guardianship and commitment investigations and was trained by the State of Oregon.
  • Counselor for an alcohol and drug agency specializing in work with dual diagnosis clients. Experience in working with incarcerated adult male and female clients, and managed the juvenile program for outpatient treatment doing group and individual work and family consultation to include assessment, treatment planning, UA’s, and advocacy.
  • Counselor for a non-profit agency, specializing in trauma of women and children involved in domestic violence. Experience working with adult females and children doing intensive treatment and support work.
  • Teacher and Social Service Worker for two non-profit agencies and one educational institution to include work mainly with pre-k children, ESL students, families, adults working on GED’s. My responsibilities included developing lesson planning, goals, assisted parenting skills, establishment of community partnerships and maintained performance standards and effective service delivery. I provided individual and family services. I led parenting classes, utilized bi-lingual skills as a service provider and social worker to develop individual service plans and used advocacy as well as mentored fellow employees. I also instructed20 children and consulted the parents of children to include local schools and other service agencies within the community.
