Highly experienced language arts teacher with 21 years experience teaching reading and writing to elementary\middle school students. During my career as an educator, I have been responsible for a tested curriculum (language, mechanics, reading and writing) for the previous 20 years. For the past three years, I have worked with two classes of corrective reading along with my core classes. Presently, my responsibilities are corrective reading and intervention.

*Employed as a reading teacher for 21st Century After School /SummerProgram since 2007
* Employed as a reading teacher for School District Migrant Program working with students and families with English as second language since 2007
* Serves as homebound teacher for Nicholas County School District
* Attends professional development to further knowledge in reading and writing each school year
* Attends Kentucky Reading Conference regularly
* Served as teacher site base member for five years
*Attended KASC Conference as a member of site base for five years - held small workshops in school district to present information
* Presenter of workshops for staff from attendance of professional development and conferences
* Implemented school district writing plan
*Tutor students with individual reading instruction
* Tutor students for Craft Academy writing applications and GSP program.
