I am currently a construction foreman for a small company that does restoration work for Eversource Gas. I retired as a police lieutenant in July of 2019. I was the Town of Waterford Emergency Management Director form July 2016 to July 2019. In all these positions i manged budgets, scheduling, negotiations with unions, and numerous other manangment duties.

• 03/14, Present, Lieutenant, Waterford Police Department, Presently serve as the Administrative Lieutenant, where I supervise records and support staff, responsible for; records retention, freedom of information compliance, state reporting mandates, use of force review, personnel reviews, department supplies and quartermaster system, department policy review, information technologies liaison to both the IT department and the emergency services in the Town of Waterford. Previously served as the Investigative Services commander supervising major crime and juvenile investigations, narcotics task forces, regional community enhancement task force, and school recourse officers. Previously I served as the Patrol Services Lieutenant, where I supervised officers and two police K-9 in daily operations. This includes; monitoring calls for service and officer activities, reading police reports, reviewing warrants, reviewing officer assignments, identifying equipment and training needs, review and update of department policies as needed. Preparation and monitoring of the budget for the patrol division, and currently in charge of the K9 unit and all expenses associated with it, serve as a department Public Information Officer, conduct internal investigations. Serve as the incident commander for major incidents. These have previously included; hostage situation, armed barricaded subjects, armed individual discharging firearm, hazmat/fuel tanker spill, suicidal subjects, search and rescue for missing persons.
• 07/16, present, Emergency Management Director, Town of Waterford, Supervised emergency communications center personnel. Continue to manage the town wide radio system day-to-day services. Manage all major catastrophic events for the town of Waterford, i.e. Millstone events, hurricanes, floods, blizzards. Conduct and lead local and state drills, such as Millstone FEMA evaluated annual drills. Assist with state region IV emergency evacuation plans, both preparing and implementing. Responsible for town of Waterford Emergency Operations Center. Responsible for all emergency equipment for emergency management and regional assets.
• 09/08, 01/14, Training/Communications Sergeant, Waterford Police Department, Supervised emergency communications center personnel. Managed the town wide radio system, both with implementation and current management of day-to-day services. Managed training records and for both police personnel and communications center personnel. Responsible for hiring process for new police recruits. Responsible for hiring of communications personal. Responsible for K9 unit training/supervision. Conducted training exercises for police personnel. Liaison to Law Enforcement Council training board. Police fleet program.
• 03/08, 09/09, Sergeant, Waterford Police Department, Supervised a squad of officers. Conducted daily review of officer’s reports and case management. Prepared court paperwork. Scheduled personnel for shift assignments. Responded to critical incident scenes in order to take charge.
• 06/04, 10/08, K9 Handler, Waterford Police Department, Responsible for maintaining my police K9. Conduct track, area searches, narcotics searches, evidence recovery searches, missing person searches, and apprehension of suspects. Basic training of the police K9 and then maintaining the K9 training until the retirement of him. Public K9 demonstrations at community events and local schools. Responsible for the police K9 on and off duty.
• 5/98, 03/08, Patrol Officer, Waterford Police Department, Conducted investigations of criminal, none-criminal incidents as well as motor vehicle accidents. Performed traffic enforcement. Completed incident reports. Prepared arrest and search warrants. Represented the department as a member of the color guard. Served as a department Field Training Officer.
• 01/88, 06/89, Fraud Investigator/Child Support Investigator, State of Connecticut Department of Social Services, 3580 Main Street, Hartford, CT, 06040, Investigated fraud complaints for welfare services. Served subpoenas to clients for support services. Investigated child support cases. Testified in court on child support matters and created support orders. Maintained child support orders and ensured collections of monies from the defendant.

• 01/99, 12/18, Waterford Police Department Union Local 1948, Served in several different capacities with the Waterford Police Department Union Local 1948. I was the union president for 3 years, vice-president for 8 years, secretary for 2 years and served on the executive board for 7 years.
• 01/12, 12/17, St. Sophia’s Hellenic Church, 200 Hempstead Street, New London, CT, Parish Council Member/Assistant Treasurer Maintained financial records for the church. Annual financial reports for the church parish. Responsible for maintenance of the church and church grounds. Creating and maintaining the church budget. The week-to-week parish donations and bank deposits. Attend monthly meetings for the operations of the church.
