Many duties associated with this position involves highly classified materials, equipment, and activities. Active Duty periods: June 1999 to September 2003 and July 2012 to July 2014. Reserve periods: January 2004 to June 2012 and August 2014 to present general duties included:

  • Manages Man, Train, and Equip (MT&E) for 452 Embedded Information Warfare Community Sailors across 7 states managing their security clearance, IO training, and unit assignment
  • Oversaw 7,000 operational hours and 2,126 days of mission support contributing to unit's selection as regional FY-17 Cyber Unit of the Year and 13 Sailor advancements
  • Led Unit's Chiefs Mess and IW leadership team to execute multiple local events that totaled 240 hours of unit Information Warfare training this led to 12 Sailors (including 3 Chiefs) earning EIWS pin
  • Mentored Unit Readiness Officer and coordinated with NOSC Medical to sustain unit mobilization readiness at 92% for 42 Sailors enabling 4 Sailor to mobilize to Active Duty
  • Oversaw 5 day technical refresh of 20 outdated systems to thin clients coordinating with Sailors and civilians from 2 different entities allowing adoption of 3 new mission areas
  • Served on panel of 15 SME's to review 124 occupational standards associated with Information Warfare Training Center (IWTC) Entry Level Electronics Intelligence course recommending curriculum/course alignments improving fundamental training for future CTT's entering both Active and Reserve Component
  • Over 900 Operational flight hours as Navy Enlisted Classification (C06A EP3-E Lab-Op) collected and disseminated electronic intelligence (ELINT) in support of OEF, OIF, and national tasking
  • Completed 68 active days at NIOC TX with Local Operational Support Officer, mission managers and command leadership to plan and incorporate Reservists to fill training and ops gaps for NIOC TX, C4F, and C10F
  • Recognized 19 Sailors through 7 personal award submissions, 10 quarterly & annual awards and 2 COMNAVIFORES coins. 1 Sailor awarded COMNAVIFORES JSOQ and 2 CMC coin recipients
  • As NR NIOC TX AOR Mission Management coordinator for ELINT collaborated with AD mission leadership to break through long standing impediments by crafting plans utilizing distributed systems enabling remote reserve units to train and achieve mission readiness on current systems and tools
  • As Electronic Warfare Officer at Tactical Training Exercise Control Group on Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center led 2,211 hours of technical training to 18,321 Marines and Sailors in use of Counter Radio Electronic Warfare (CREW). Created and administered pre-deployment training to enable realistic electronic countermeasures training and managed $1.2 million dollars of training assets
  • As Assistant Surface Electronic Warfare Officer for U.S. Seventh Fleet Maritime Operations Center provided valuable and innovative inputs to OPLANS, CONPLANS, and Phase 0 operational guidance resulting in increased Electronic Attack (EA) training opportunities for Carrier Strike Groups, Expeditionary Strike Groups, and Expeditionary Growler Squadrons deconflicting 3 EW clearance requests with foreign governments within C7F AOR resulting in zero EMI violations or international incidents during Pacific Sentry -18
