This position requires heavy travel throughout NC.
  
Nature and Scope:
  
We are looking for a skilled painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces. 
  
Minimum eligibility requirements

* Relevant work experience (2+ years preferred).
* Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply.
* Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
* Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.).
* Excellent basic math skills
* Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
* Conscientious with great attention to detail.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
* Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others. 
* Practice and promote company's Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles.
* Must have valid driver license.
* Must meet all health requirements.
* Must pass criminal background check.
* Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
  
Essential functions
  
Maintenance

* Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
* Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
* Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
* Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
* Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
* Apply varnish and other finishes
* Calculate costs 
  
Customer service

* Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
* Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner.
* Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.
* Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents' families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators).
