Military Science Instructor

Austin Peay State University (ROTC)
09.2018 - Current

Serves as the Military Science Instructor for a Cadet Command SROTC Program consisting of 150 Cadets. Performs duties as the Military Science and Leadership III adviser and instructor for 47 Cadets. Responsible for the oversight and training for all assigned Cadets on pre-commissioning tasks; coaches, teaches, and mentors all Cadets to assist them in reaching their academic and ROTC training goals. Advises the Professor of Military Science on MS III training, ammunition forecasting, operations, and Color Guard events.

  • Reviewed program materials and coordinated updates to keep department materials relevant and accurate.
  • Train and mentor members of the Austin Peay Ranger Challenge team. Have placed in the Brigade level competition7 years in a row, qualifing to represent the brigade at the annual Sandhurst competition at West Point.
