Company Commander

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Serves as a Company Commander assigned to a One Station Unit Training (OSUT) battalion in the 197th Infantry Brigade. Responsible for all training, planning, coordination, execution and assessment of all Training requirements and POI events. Responsible for the health, welfare, safety, training, and professional development of 24 permanent Cadre members and 500 Trainees annually during 22 week cycles. Responsible for the maintenance and services on all TDA and TASC equipment. Responsible for the company's Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) on over $2 million of assigned Installation, 5K and below, and OCIE equipment as well as the expenditure of $250K of government purchases and private organization funds annually.
  • Synchronized the company's mission while planning future training to ensuring that all four platoons were successful in their daily operations. Led training meetings and published orders to clearly communicate across all levels. Additionally, fostered relationships with agencies to support future success beyond my company, but also on behalf of the battalion.

Company Executive Officer

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Executive Officer of an armor company. Principle duties include implementing Command Maintenance and Supply Discipline Programs of a fleet which includes 14 M1A2 SEPV2 Abrams, and property in excess of $67 million; implements resourcing and sustainment of all training. Second in command of 65 assigned and attached Soldiers and their Families. Assists in the tactical employment, training, administration, force protection of the company. Integrates and synchronizes forces for full spectrum operations including other combined arms and combat support elements.
  • Integrated into an Armored Company with zero, previous experience. Worked diligently to learn and understand maintenance and logistic issues involving the M1A1 SEPV2 Abrams.
  • Worked to master the Global Combat Support System-Army to synchronize maintenance and logistics efforts. Resulted in providing $32,000 worth of missing equipment and turning in 6,800 repair parts to gain a credit for the Battalion of $3.3 million dollars.
  • Provided detailed planning and resourcing for logistics and maintenance support for 24 training events. Resulted in the Company always postured for success.
  • Created systems which led to an operational readiness rate of 94%
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills. Relied upon to coordinate with adjacent units, outside organizations and agencies, and host nation agencies while deployed.
  • Rated as the top performing Executive Officer in the Battalion.

Infantry Platoon Leader

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Platoon leader of a Mechanized Infantry Platoon comprised of 40 Soldiers, task organized in four M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles and three dismounted Infantry squads. Responsible for planning, resourcing, executing, and assessing training at the Platoon level. Responsible for the morale and welfare of 40 Soldiers. Responsibility for the accountability, readiness, and maintenance of all Platoon equipment including vehicles, sensitive items, communications, and other equipment totaling over $16 million. Responsible for a high level of personnel, training, logistical, and maintenance readiness within his Platoon. Responsible for the tactical employment and mission command of the Platoon.
  • Demonstrated the ability to solve complex problems. Planned, resourced, and executed three, Company level training events. Maximized efficient use of resources and time available to ensure all subordinates were proficiently trained.
  • Adhered to all applicable polices, regulations, and guidelines while consistently reinforcing a safety focused atmosphere.

Battalion Operations Officer

Oversees the resourcing and planning of training events that are nested within the Battalion Commander's Guidance and prepare the Battalion to survive, fight, and win in a complex environment.
  • Selected to oversee and manage the Battalion's redeployment from the Republic of Korea to Fort Hood, TX. Resulted in 541 Soldiers and all equipment successfully reintegrated and redeployed.
  • Trusted to work independently on projects with minimal guidance or outside management.
