Poseida Therapeutics, Inc (recently acquired by Genetech/Roche) is a biotechnology company developing life-saving CAR-T therapies.

Responsible for for network and security infrastructure. fully support, configure and maintain the corporate network infrastructure and in-house servers. Assist IT staff with corporate helpdesk, ongoing technical support and training of end users in both corporate and laboratory environments. Assisted in planning and implementing IT deployments.

Security and network focused systems administrator. Train staff on user level security. Recommend, configure and secure all network devices. High level technical assistance for elevated issues as well as supervise and train help desk on more complex issues. Maintenance and troubleshoot of software and hardware issues at any level from desktop to infrastructure. Assist upper management with projects as needed. Configure, optimize deploy any system software, servers or IT infrastructure systems.

* Plan and implement additional network infrastructure for building expansion.

* Plan and implement AD and file server Auditing. 

Supported all enterprise systems over 250 virtual servers in a mixed environment of Linux and Windows. Support also included desktop, laptop and lab computers. My primary responsibility at Dart was for system security, firewalls, network switches, backup and restore, server deployment (hardware or virtual), endpoint security, SIEM and phone systems. This focus involved whole system replacement, evaluation, updating (firmware or software) and troubleshooting.

Key Contributions:

* Directed and Implemented a security information and event management (SIEM) system and various other recommended security practices to improve security posture.

* Implement lab segmentation for equipment running unsupported or security vulnerable software.

* Instrumental in deployment of firewalls, wireless and over 40 network switches for a new facility.

* Improved backup performance many times over as data continued to grow above 100TB.

* Key in developing a strategy for implementing a disaster recovery site. 

Build computers and servers from various manufacturers, troubleshoot malfunctioning hardware, backup customers files and reinstall OS.

Onsite Support for clients. Provided support services for any IT or technology issues. Perform preventative maintenance on server systems. Escalate to technical experts when needed. Manage and configure backups. Administration of Active Directory and Exchange Environments. 

Troubleshoot a variety of technical problems with customers over the phone. Manage user accounts, troubleshoot remote sites such as T1 or DSL issues.

Support Enterprise RedHat, Linux and Free BSD Systems. Verify back up and maintenance when needed. Implemented and supported WSUS, general help desk and desktop support for whole company.
