Stephen Gibson

• WCC was a revitalization project of Calvary Church, Grand Rapids. With no staff (other than a part time groundskeeper) and limited resources, in 2013 the Wellspring Elder board unanimously voted to shut the church down and turn the building over to the bank. Thankfully, the Lord had other plans. During my tenure the church has now become a vibrant place of worship with 28 staff members, many supported missionaries, and approximately 1200 people who call it their home church.

Duties include:

• Preaching and teaching
• Casting and Supporting of Vision
• Shepherding of congregation, including mentoring and pastoral counseling
• Pastoring and Caring for the Staff, alongside the Executive Pastor
• The fulfillment of elder duties

• Calvary Church had an average attendance of 4000 on Sunday mornings.

Duties included:

• Oversight of all 12 ministry departments, assuring that their teachings, programs and budgets supported the church's doctrinal beliefs, Mission and Vision
• Overseeing and assisting the 12 ministries to create, implement and maintain various systems within their departments to proactively create mature followers of Christ
• Supporting the congregation through pastoral visitation, preaching, performing weddings and baptisms
• Providing spiritual leadership to the staff
• Being the liaison between the Elder board and the staff
• Building team unity and staff morale
• Overseeing the process of staff additions, deletions and evaluations

• Managed 8 departments, consisting of 120+ employees
• Led the nursing facility from jeopardy of losing state license – under previous leadership – to receiving zero State of Ohio deficiencies three years later
• Increased customer satisfaction substantially; facility had 4 Department of Health complaint surveys in a 9 month period under previous leadership, during the last two years of my leadership the facility had one complaint survey – declared unsubstantiated by the Department of Health
• Led facility to becoming OSHA compliant
• Led facility to receiving Medicare certification, thereby qualifying the facility to receive federal funding; increasing yearly revenue by 15%

• Fellowship Bible Church – Dallas had an average attendance of 1500.

Duties Included:

• Developing discipleship curriculum
• Teaching men's bible studies/curriculum
• Mentoring men as well as leading the staff advisory/steering committee
• I was also ordained at Fellowship Bible Church-Dallas.
