Hendrick Medical Center has been home for the last seven years since moving to Albany from Houston. Since I have been an employee at Hendrick, I have grown from a bedside nurse, to charge nurse, to manager, and now director. I have been involved in education of the ICU staff, skills checkoffs for the telemetry departments, and have helped with coaching and onboarding new ICU staff. I have been involved with organ donation and been a member of the unit skin team. It has been my goal to continue to advance my career at Hendrick and become involved in leadership and management. Over the last 7 years I have met these goals and exceeded them by becoming the Director of Critical Care Services. In my role as a manger, I have been involved in unit and staff growth and development, heading up crisis response within the critical care unit, growing and training our Intermediate Care Unit, and managing and growing our acute in-patient dialysis program to two campuses.
