Responsible for leading/coordinating product development team activities within Ahresty.

Scope of Responsibility:

Leading the AQP Team activities, coordinate launch schedules both internal and with AWC suppliers, lead engineering FMEA development and implementation in order to ensure a smooth launch of new products and design changes

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead AQP Team activities to meet customer expectations and follow through to implementation and start of mass production.
  Collaborate with Engineering to develop and plan the implementation of the P-FMEA. If customer approval is not obtained, devise alternative methods and resolve potential issues with the AQP Team.
  Coordinate with Purchasing and Quality supplier activities and development
  Assist the AQP team to coordinate with the customer for development of new product dunnage.
  Coordinate improvement activities for below target items during new model development into mass production
  

Championed the successful launch of four additional High Pressure Die Casting Cells.
Developed manufacturing procedures & standards in accordance with manufacturing.
Designed and implemented process tooling to enhance operator utilization and production efficiencies.
Established equipment preventative maintenance procedures for Casting processes.
Keep solid relationships and earned the respect of all 45 associates as I worked along side each one of them while retaining a leadership role.
Performed component purchasing for the entire casting department including the production die molds while keeping the die mold under the projected budget by 15%.

Governed all aspects of the wet dip and electrostatic coatings processes facility wide, while managing the Lab and the Waste treatment facility.
Consulted with customers, vendors, materials purchasing, and the Quality Department.
Performed capability studies and root cause analysis. Developed manufacturing procedures & standards
Designed and implemented process tooling and production fixtures to enhance plant/paint line utilization.
Established equipment preventative maintenance procedures.
Strengthened existing coating system to provide consistent 2,000 hour neutral salt spray results from a system designed to achieve 336 hours.
Member of management team responsible for achievement of TS-16949 & ISO-14001 registration as a Tier 1 supplier to Ford, GM, Chrysler, and Nissan.
Familiar with F.M.E.A., P.M.E.A. and A.P.Q.P. in accordance with being a Tier One Automotive Supplier.
Responsible for capital expenditure and justification in my department.
Successfully completed Six-Sigma Green Belt training in March, 2003.
