Accomplishments

  • GOALS SET IN WORKDAY, Increase Mortality return rate to 99%: The objective set for this goal was exceeded with an overall return rate of 99.07%, making this accomplishment the highest return rate to ever exist for mortality. Accomplishing this goal required a few small feats amounting to the larger sum. This included; Generating a weekly report of missing mortality. This report was created by utilizing the app created in shaps. With the final product being sent to all sales and technical team members to encourage and validate that all mortality was being turned in. A consistent and regimented schedule of sending three to four weekly reminders to all individual sales and technical team members who were drastically missing returns. This display of professional but committed approach greatly assisted in alerting members to how far behind they were and in turn encouraged the submission of the lacking information.
  • All Charts Main to Qlik EOY 2023, The objective set for this goal was met and is still being embellished upon. Currently every excel file that is utilized by quality assurance in charts main is in Qliksense. Which is updated automatically and directly from shaps. As far as further enhancements - I have reached out to persons necessary, Mary Stewart and Chelsea Atkinson, to commence collaboration of setting up training sessions for the QA's in hatcheries. These efforts are to ensure these employees' transition to using Qliksense is seamless and consistent.
  • LIMS, I am currently working with Caitlin Rivord to equip every hatchery (ten in total) with LIMS and to establish a baseline understanding of use for hatchery employees to utilize the system for bacterial identification and product verification. The use of LIMS will shift the company away from using excel based data tables and to begin using the new software in partnership with Qliksense. After this implementation, I will begin assisting with a more in depth training of the QA's to ensure their understanding of the program.
  • Transfer Process, I am currently collaborating with Ben Allen and Austin Young on streamlining the current data collection process, with a focus on the transfer process. The main objective is to create an automated system via application on a tablet to take the place of a traditional paper report. This application has the potential to save an immense amount of time and money.
