  • Provides project management support on assigned projects and plant priorities, while also meeting deadlines and managing project budgets.
  • Ensures that appropriate paybacks (ROIC) are forecasted and achieve expected CapEx outcomes.
  • Partner with Maintenance on scheduling of all project work including design, equipment selection, construction, and equipment installation in coordination with available downtime to minimize impact on production.
  • Assess facility opportunities in production, utilities/power, waste management, and warehouse departments to create cost effective solutions while balancing with capital budget constraints and needs of the plant.
  • Facilitate external contractor and vendor quotes for specific project work and perform an analysis to determine the best vendor selection.
  • Oversee contractors and vendors to maintain project timelines and budgets in respect to plant priorities and timelines.
  • Coordinates with production management and outside sources to prepare and implement Authorization for Expenditure (AFE).
  • Consultation with outside specialist firms to develop solutions to best fit plant specific applications, including the preparation of specifications, drawings, and layouts.
  • Ensure contractors and vendors are following company policies such as Vendor Insurance, GMPs, and Safety Training.
  • Managed project work in cheese production department, nutrition production department, warehouse, waste water and utility department.
  • Largest projects were performed in support of the utility department. Potable water system upgrade (multimillion dollar project) and boiler controls upgrade (largest project personally carried from inception to completion, ~$1.3 million completed under budget and with minimal process impacts)
  • Provided non-capital, operational support to the utility department in all aspects. Including boiler system troubleshooting/technical expertise, water system troubleshooting/technical expertise, ammonia refrigeration system maintenance/technical support.
