Set up, operate, and adjust machine tools such as CNC Boring Mills, Jig Bores, and numerically controlled Jig Grinders to perform precision machining on details for dies, jigs, fixtures, miscellaneous tooling, repair parts, prove design parts, etc. Use a variety of special equipment and attachments as required to successfully complete required task.

Lead a team up to 35 UAW hourly employees driven by a safety first culture in Lower Powertrain Products Heat Treat Dept. Responsible for ensuring that thorough accident and near miss investigations are completed and corrective actions taken, ensures that all personnel within the area adhere to all safe working practices. Support the Team Lead(s) and make available necessary resources to support training within the area. Schedules and prioritizes constrained resources, and adjusts staffing to meet flow and customer requirements. Determines and executes disciplinary action when appropriate. Implement, Manage & Coach Lean Manufacturing with Team Members. Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogues with Team Leads and Team Members. Drive root cause corrective action projects and drive continuous improvement.

Operate a variety of grinders (Surface grinders, Internal/External grinders, Blanchard grinders, Thread grinder to hold precision tolerances typically within .0002.) In addition, program and operate CNC lathe(s).

Set up, operate , and adjust gear cutting machines to perform hobbing and shaping operations to produce gear teeth, serrations, and splines. In addition, set up, operate and adjust gear grinding machines to finish grind gear teeth
