  • Worked in Nuclear Test Engineering Division (Code 2340) Shift Test Engineering program as ASTE on S5W platform, then steam generator chemical cleaning (SGCC), then D2G STE qualification program.
  • Worked in Reactor Engineering Division (Code 2310) to perform component maintenance and replacement.
  • Developed temporary systems supporting reactor plant maintenance and testing such as temporary reactor air (TRA), SG sparging/ chem addition, primary relief valve testing (PRVT), BFPL reliefs, etc.
  • Performed many SSN, SSBN, and CVN dual media discharges (DMD).
  • Wrote technical work documents (TWDs) incorporating NAVSEA standards and requirements to accomplish component maintenance and replacement.
  • Confered with other yards often to seek best practices.
  • Authored the corporate in-hull DMD equipment drawings for S6G, S8G, S9G.
  • Conferred with KAPL and in-yard department leaders to author Functional Design Requirements document for pier-side DMDs.

Accomplishments

  • Collaborated with team from NNSY and KAPL in the development of pier-side submarine DMDS. Thus freeing DMD from drydocking the ship.
