- I am a lead mechanic for the Surface Water Plant for the City of Pearland
- I work with an app called City Works and that’s how I create and execute various work orders. I also help dispatch employees for certain tasks
- I answer emails and phone calls promptly and efficiently
- I work close with supervisor to set up daily tasks and I keep a day to day log of issuses and different work activities.
- I use excel, power points, outlook, and other Microsoft applications
- I use an app called Scada where people the app allows me to monitor the water systems and give me control to run and stop the pumps and other equipment that we use.
- I do inspections, fault evaluations, troubleshooting and alarm monitoring.
- I do maintenance on the water pumps, motors, utility fans, chlorinators, water mains, and valves
- I check to make sure pumps/motors are running soundly if not ill assess the issue
- I also work on exhaust fans as well
- I change out different styles of valves; I change out different hoses and clamps
- I drive around to each Plant location to make sure all equipment is working properly with preventive maintenance with lubricating motors and pumps checking internal temperatures and changing oil
- I work with various power and hand tools
