Summary

HVAC Technician with 12+ yrs experience in residential. Spent 2 years as a helper, 4 or 5 as an installer, and roughly 5 in service.

I am open to learning Commercial, as I love to learn new things, and I think it would be a nice step forward for my career.

I am mechanically inclined and am a problem solver, and if I don’t know something on the spot, I learn it on the spot. I’m able to use resources whether google, forums, service manuals, or various connections like tech support or friends in the industry to find a solution.

What’s important to me? Doing my best work, the right way, so that I don’t have callbacks. I always do the job correctly and work as efficiently as I can. I am on time to work and ready to work when I come in. You’ll be able to rely on me.

I own almost anything a tech would need, power tools, hand tools, fieldpiece job link probes, clamps, psychrometers, all the equipment to pull a DEEP vacuum on equipment, torches, manometer, multimeter.

In addition to my HVAC background, I also have experience in property management and maintenance, extensive fireplace install/ technician background, as well as jacuzzi/hotsprings hot tub installation, delivery and service experience. I am multi talented, I have always worked on my own vehicles, houses, have experience in plumbing, drywall, structural framing, painting, carpentry, and some roofing experience. I am a quick learner and am open to entering other trades other than hvac.

Work History

HVAC Installer

Air Flohs
01.2024 - 04.2024

Worked as a lead installer for Chris, the owner of Air Flohs for the first few months after I moved here from Florida. They were pretty slow at the time, but I was there to complete any work that was needed, he was also always happy with my work.

He was able to tell quickly that My abilities range way beyond the installers job description. He talked to me about how he was trying to grow his company, as he runs the service side by himself right now, we talked in that office and he ran me through a couple of complicated service calls scenarios, all of which I was able to diagnose correctly for him. He kind of seemed blown away that I was able to work through those scenarios correctly on the spot. He mentioned to me that he’s gonna have to think about what to do with me as he may not be at a point With his company to take on a service tech yet.

He was not planning on hiring a service tech when he hired me as an installer. The next morning when I showed up for work, he called me into his office again. He told me that things aren’t going the way he had planned for due to the long winter, he’s not busy enough to send us all out like he has been. That it was costing him to have me on the payroll. He asked me if I was happy as an installer, I replied that I don’t mind it, but will definitely get back into service for my next job, that I would take this as my sign that I should. He told me that he thinks that I’d be a great service tech and he is sorry that he doesn’t have a place for me right now, And thinks I can do much better in a service tech position.
