Accomplishments

I have completed South Eastern Lineman Training Center. Throughout my time there, I was tasked with both vigorous physical training as well as mental. Each day we committed hours outside climbing and combatting every potential problem such as framing/hanging single and three phase systems, banking transformers, opening and closing fuse cut outs with hot sticks, grounding with shotgun sticks, and climbing the lattice tower. when I was not outside I was in the classroom, learning and memorizing the many aspects of electrical systems such as grounding, safety, guying, crane operations, first aid CPR, AED, and knots and splices. Each week we took two tests. I committed much of my time outside of lineman school and work studying and bringing all information into memory. Failure to achieve a score of 70 or more on these tests resulted in gaining "points", a system SLTC used to expel lineman who fail to meet their exceptional standards. I graduated class 78 at SLTC.
