• Obtains medical histories and completes necessary paperwork on patients including vital signs. Any medical problems are referred to the Physician, and/or NP/PA.
• Assists with medical appointments, emergencies and sick call to include taking vital signs and documenting patient’s medical complaints.
• Ensures the medical provider’s orders are implemented.
• Coordinates health care needs of patients with other staff members.
• Coordinates referrals to off-site providers as required.
• Performs record keeping functions in accordance with clinic policies.
Emergency Medical Technician - Basic -
Certified Hazmat Technician – Responsibilities include the management, containment, and cleaning of hazardous materials from spills or accidents.
Rope Rescue Technician - Responds to emergency situations involving technical search or rescue operations. Conducts or performs search, rescue, and recovery operations in a vertical or near vertical environment.
Certified Fire Officer I,II,III,IV – Administering job performance requirements; evaluating and making improvements to department operations; developing long-range plans and fiscal projections; developing plans for major disasters; serving as Incident Commander at major incidents for all hazard types; and administering comprehensive risk management programs.
Master Fire Investigator- Responsible for understanding the behavior of fire and determining the cause of fires in commercial buildings or residences. Investigates site, collects evidence, and prepares reports for court cases or investigating body.
Master Fire Inspector - Inspect buildings to locate hazardous conditions and fire code violations such as accumulations of combustible material, electrical wiring problems, and inadequate or non-functional fire exits.
Master Fire Instructor - Prepares and delivers firefighting training programs. Prepares training programs for recruits and in-service personnel to ensure proper utilization of firefighting methods and techniques. Prepares examinations for distribution to students to evaluate program effectiveness.
