Summary

I was hired as an inexperienced member to a bronze metal foundry. After several months as a gaming employee in the wax room I was asked to assist in small duties of the metal shop fabrication department. I followed directions performing and assisting in metal part preparation and tasks related to the lead welder. Within several more weeks more responsibilities within the metal shop were extended to me including being taught to tig weld bronze. Using air carbide tools and various metal cutting bits I apprenticed into a metal artisan. Under supervision I was trained to metal tool bronze sculptures in various sizes and subjects and to meet the quality standards. I was considered a fast learner and an accomplished metal artisan and within a year, I was building very costly artistic bronze sculptures. For the next 7 years I built dozens of sculptures in a fast paced production environment and repetitive manner. I assisted in countless projects that included teamwork and contributing to the safe and successful outcomes to company profits.

sheet metal artistry, woodworking, watercolor painter and personal bronze artistry

My passion for model ship building inspired me to build a 3ft sheet metal model made from scratch. Using 16 gauge sheet metal and no plans or drawings I hand built the ship. I worked over 2 years on my spare time. All the pieces are designed and hand made using various scraps and improvised materials. The ship consists of ferrous and non ferrous metals. Copper, steel, bronze, and lead. Since 8 years old I have painted in oil paints and have artistic abilities that have given me great satisfaction to this day and confidence I could never imagine. I also  have made my own bronze art sculptures to my personal enjoyment.
