Summary

Before I began working at U.S. Steel, I was the lead carpenter of DSW Construction Company. I started working at U.S. Steel on 8/26/1996. I first worked in the carpentry department. I have led many scaffolding jobs while at the carpenter shop. One such project was the U.S. Steel monument which is placed at the Genesis Building on Broadway. I was involved in coordinating a ramp job inside and outside of the mill. Remodeling projects in various parts of the mill were also a part of my job experiences. I have been a part of the MTM and MTE training programs. As a MTE at Field Wire East, I worked in the #1 Bop shop, the Q Bop shop, all blast furnaces, turbo house, and the casters. For a short time I was responsible for the tool room. During my time in the tool room, I was responsible for receiving and signing purchase orders. I have worked in teams troubleshooting crane and electrical problems. I have always worked well with co-workers and managers. As a MTE Planner I had to be in charge of using Oracle to charge hours and close out work orders for the projects.
