There is a strong connection between myself and protecting my society. I am capable of handling extraordinary situations, communicating with others and being aware of surroundings that can be used in the industrial field. I am studied and trained to operate commercial motored vehicles as I hold a class A license. I have also been trained to become an official armed security: holding valid D,G and conceals licenses; also I have the required training and license to operate motored equipments such as forklifts and swingstages. I have found ways to challenge myself and improve the way I work; when completing these courses I’ve opened doors to use my skills.
My duty was to drive a 13’, 6” large box truck OTR & to lead my team to complete professional jobs in moving. At the job sites I would make sure that all of the clients products are well protected and secured; I would participate in wrapping items, loading & unloading the truck. As a team lead I would handle communicating with clients, completing contracts/ processing payments and making sure the load gets to the destination safely while keeping in touch with dispatch.
As a security officer I would take shifts between the front desk & rover; within the front desk I would keep track of the building cameras, assist tenants/visitors and handle deliveries. Also I was to make sure elevators/escalators are working properly and that there are no issues with the fire panels. As a rover I would make sure to assist visitors with ticket machines or directions in the property, assure that there is nobody trespassing or breaking the rules and be aware of any hazards or damages towards the property. At the end of every shift I was to make daily reports and sign any guest within the company’s application.
This job was about hosting events/concerts and to keep a secured environment by patrolling an area and help guide guest to their assigned seats. We would keep in contact with our colleagues using radios in case we had to address a situation and keep control. We would assist guest with directions of vendors or use of restroom, as to issues with lost items within the property. Another job was to handle tickets and to provide customers when purchased, it was also to check ID's for age restrictions and hand wristbands to those of proper age to purchase alcoholic beverages at the vendors.
This was a small company that I drove a company work van and we mainly focused on installing cameras, but did other major innovations and electrical jobs. we seen lots of construction sites where we would run wires throughout in order to install hidden speakers or cameras on the property and properly program them; we also did jobs like installing fire panels or infrared lasers at boat docks. It was required to provide customers with important information and explain how to use products and give any passwords needed in case of any emergencies.
Greeted guests with warmth and professionalism for friendly, helpful service. Completed sweeping, mopping, and window-cleaning. Identified repair needs and major maintenance concerns, and escalated issues to management. Used power scrubbing and waxing machines to scrub and polish floors. Followed safety standards and established SOPs when handling, mixing and storing hazardous chemicals. Assisted CNA with transferring patients or providing care.
This job varied on what was being done as it was general construction, I would drive a work van to different work sites. The jobs can consist of remodeling, inspecting areas of leaks or damages, pressure washing, installing windows/doors and using caulking guns to seal areas to prevent leaks, needing to break down concrete or doing repairs and painting. The job required the knowledge of using machinery such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts and swingstages; also was required to know the proper equipment and follow the proper guidelines for safety; to put in a summary we had to learn to grind, mix, plaster and paint. There was another big job that we had to learn and that dealt with learning to work with hot material, placing special paper and using a hot machine.
