Steven Cook

I am seeking a position in the areas of finance or accounting. I am an experienced manager, with over 20 years of management experience in the auto industry, plus another 10 years managing and accounting for several of my own businesses. I come to the market with an understanding of what it takes to be a good manager and a good employee.

In my short tme with OneSource I have been working GL Accounting and analysis, bank reconciliations, accruals, intercompany reconciliations, line of credit funding packets, and various other related tasks assigned by management. I really enjoyed working for this company; unfortunately, with the market downturn at the time, they were making cost and staff reductions. They eventually went out of business.

In operating my own companies, I found I have a real passion for turning real-life financial transactions into their appropriate GL accounts, then analyzing those transactions to determine their cost-effectiveness. I believe this experience has given me great insight into the overall accounting flow for any business.
