  • I worked my way up from controller to supervisor, starting and finishing my whole career at ZLA
  • In 2008, I applied for and was accepted in the FAA Program for Emerging Leaders (PEL)
  • Though PEL, I learned to work with all the different departments of the FAA
  • Applied for and was hired as a supervisor at ZLA (2010)
  • As a supervisor, I was selected to represent my area in a total airspace redesign of Southern California
  • This involved major collaboration between ZLA, Southern California TRACON (SOCAL) and most of the terminal facilities
  • We accomplished a major redesign of all the arrivals and departures in the Southern California area, in order to increase efficiency and reduce complexity
  • Saving the airlines millions of dollars, and reducing overall delays
  • In (2016) I was selected as a STMC at ZLA in the Traffic Management Unit (TMU)
  • As a STMC, I coordinated with the Airlines, Command Center, ZLA areas, and surrounding facilities to maintain safety and efficiency
