Patrolling and serving as a police officer in any town is more than just a job; it's a commitment to the safety, security, and well-being of the community. It involves a multifaceted approach that combines law enforcement with community engagement. Officers are tasked with maintaining order, preventing crime, and ensuring the safety of residents through regular patrols and proactive policing strategies.One of my primary responsibilities of a police officer is to be a visible presence in the community. Patrolling neighborhoods, business districts, and public spaces.

Serving the people also means being responsive to their needs and concerns. As a police officer are often the first point of contact for individuals facing a crisis, whether it's a domestic dispute, a medical emergency, or a mental health crisis. In these situations, officers must be able to de-escalate tensions, provide assistance, and connect individuals with the appropriate resources.

• I had to describe myself with just one aspect about my life it would be when I decided to join the military. I'm sharing this aspect of my life because it is unique to me and not many other people have the military as part of their lives. Less than one-half of 1% of the U.S. population is serving in the military right now. Joining the Army was one of the most life changing experiences I've had so far in my life. In my time since joining I have learned a lot and met many people from all walks of life in the military. Also joining opened up some opportunities for me. It has definitely changed my future. People join the military for many different reasons. I decided to join because it would be a good opportunity for me to learn some skills

• As a Police Officer in Goodwater, ensured public safety, reduced crime rates, and led community policing initiatives. Being a police officer is more than just enforcing the law and maintaining order in society; it's about being part of something bigger and making a difference in people's lives. As an officer, you are given the opportunity to work with different communities and build relationships with them while still doing your job effectively. I am driven by the challenge that comes with policing. Police work is complex and ever-changing, so officers must stay on their toes and be prepared for anything they may encounter out on the streets. This means having quick thinking skills, being able to adapt quickly, staying calm under pressure, and having excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Correctional Officer’s have been around for a very long time and were designed to keep major offenders off the street after they have been arrested by the Police. Correctional Officers are a very important part of the Justice System because it keeps high profile criminals off the street and locked up even before they are proven innocent or guilty. Working in a Correctional Facility is a very stressful environment. Everything is done by the book and not following the protocol could mean termination of your employment.
