Certified Welder

Throughout highschool, my plan after highschool initially was always college. Towards the end of my senior year of highschool I realized sitting down, taking notes and listening to someone speak for hours a day for the next couple years isn't really what I wanted to do. I am more of a visual learner, hands on, I like to be active and I realized i should look towards a trade. Expanding my skills with a blue collar job seemed to be what's best for someone like myself. I did my own research and found out about Northlands Jobcorps on my own since my highschool didn't provide much information towards those who wanted to lean towards to blue collar work side of things. I like learning new things, hands on work, and creating new things. I am a big fan of art and to me welding seemed like an art within itself. I decided to enroll myself into Jobcorps, leave my family, my city, my home, friends all behind for new beginnings in my life and went from Lynn, Massachusetts to Vergennes, Vermont. I got my welding certifications February 26th, 2024. I am now in Northlands Advanced welding  program trying to get even more welding experience and certifications.
