  • Forecasting, ordering and procurement of pharmaceutical inventory in support of all of Boehringer Ingelheim projects or campaigns including raw materials, reagents, and solvents in a timely and efficient manner
  • Physically evaluate the integrity of our materials using a variety of methods in order to adequately maintain viable stock levels for individual campaign requirements
  • Perform laboratory-sampling analyses on all chemicals, active pharmaceutical ingredients, raw materials, reagents, and solvents as deemed necessary
  • Recording of laboratory sampling such as ID, Use Tests, Retains, various chemical assessments, or any other samples for both internal and external clients
  • Maintain the pharmaceutical stock inventory through a variety of inventory control functions including a weekly inventory report
  • Comply with all FDA, OSHA, EPA, IATA and any client regulations in order to ensure proper implementation of our pharmaceutical operations
  • Maintain our organometallic and cylinder storage rooms having received the Department of Homeland Security Chemical-terrorism Vulnerability Information Authorized User Certificate
  • Effectively interact and communicate with technicians, campaign managers, chemists, external and internal suppliers, vendors, logistics personnel, and various departments with Boehringer Ingelheim domestically and internationally to ensure that campaign timelines are met accordingly
  • Initiate and coordinate the destruction of materials with no clinical or campaign value or materials that have reached their expiration date
  • Provide our Logistics Department proper documentation in order to ensure that correct materials arrive at international or domestic locations safely, undamaged, and within the desired time frame established by the client
  • Maintain and oversee all aspects of our loading docks including physical goods receipts, distribution of chemicals, electronic cataloging of material inventory into BIePs, and preparatory work for global shipping destinations
  • Configure, coordinate, track, and communicate Elpro temperature data to applicable clients globally
  • Maintain the cleanliness and uniformity of all loading docks, sampling rooms, chemical storage rooms, dispensing areas and any other areas that fall within Material Management's jurisdiction
  • Perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with staging for individual campaigns such as documenting, assembling, sampling, formulating and partitioning of any chemical requirements upon request
  • Where appropriate approve any chemical or material invoices from vendors or suppliers in SAP
  • Maintain my Department of the Treasury Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau Industrial Alcohol User Permit which allows Boehringer Ingelheim to purchase 200 Proof Alcohol used in campaigns
  • Maintain various calibrated weights by working with the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection as required
  • Follow established SOP's, GMP and guidelines when performing day-to-day routine tasks
  • Ensure that members of the Yoh contract team adhere to the above core responsibilities
