Oversee daily activities of deputies who are responding to calls for service or conduct self initiated activity, ensuring the services provided adhere to local, state, and federal law as well as standard operating procedures.

Respond to high-liability incidents to assume initial command. Provide both tactical and logistical direction to ensure the safety of officers and citizens.

Conduct reviews of both reports and body worn camera footage to ensure the accuracy of documentation of crimes and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Evaluate performance of individual deputies by highlighting their strengths, accomplishments, and areas of improvement.

Lead in service shift trainings to target common areas for improvement such as Georgia Law, criminal procedure, standard operating procedure, and case law updates.

• Respond to Traffic Complaints, assist with traffic educational events, attend traffic network meetings, conduct DUI investigations, enforce traffic laws.
• Respond to serious injury and fatal motor vehicle accidents. Conduct investigations based on evidence from Roadways, Vehicles, and Human Factors. Collect, mark, and measure roadway and vehicle evidence through the use of various methods. Obtain Search Warrants and Arrest Warrants based on evidence from the collision and execute said warrants.
• Train and document training of newly hired Deputy Sheriff's during the Traffic Phase of Patrol FTO.

• Proactively patrol areas of the county and respond to calls for service.
• Conduct investigations and determine whether criminal law or county ordinances were violated and make arrests or cite for those offenses.
• Train and document the training of newly hired Deputy Sheriff's within the Patrol Division.
• Additionally, respond as a SWAT Operator when requested and effectively communicate in high-risk, tense situations that are rapidly developing.

• Responsible for the safety and security of inmates and the facility.
• Field training and documentation of trainees throughout various positions within the jail.

• Responsible for receiving and dispatching calls in an accurate and timely manner.
