• The Virtual Care Nurse provides TeleICU nursing care to a diverse population of critically ill ICU patients across multiple hospitals in multiple states from a centralized location.
• The TeleICU nurse assesses their patient’s data and provides nursing care in collaboration with the bedside using audio/ video connections during their patient’s ICU stay to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Registered Nurse, Contracted to deliver nursing care to Critical or Intensive care patients. Using my skills acquired over 27 years with 17 years working as a Contract RN, I delivered direct patient care, stabilized patients, implemented trauma, emergency and intensive treatment of critical patients by means of medication and IV administration, airway management, monitoring patient condition, interpreting and tracking EKG and physiological viral sign readings to promote the best of patient outcomes .

• Maintained quality care and comfort for patients with heart failure, pulmonary hypertension and other conditions.
• Provided exceptional care to high-acute patients needing complex care such as ventilator management, extensive wound care and rehabilitation.

• Care of critical patients in a 12 bed General ICU combined 4 bed CVR
• Demanding the skills to care for intubated patients on a ventilator, post myocardial infract patients undergoing hypothermia treatment, post CABG patients needing IABP treatment, septic patients, fluid overload patients needing
• CRRT and patients in multi-organ failure.

• Care of critical patients in a 10 bed CardioVascular Intense Care Unit
• Recovery and care of Post Open Heart surgical patients for coronary bypass grafting, aortic valve repair or replacement, mitral valve repair or replacement, and aortic arch repair
• Recovery and care of post thoracic surgical patients.

• Virtual observation, assessment, management and care for Critical or Intensive Care patients in collaboration with physicians and bedside patient care givers to quickly assess patients and deliver appropriate treatment while managing rapidly changing conditions.
• Educated caregivers on diagnosis and prognosis, treatment options, disease process and management and lifestyle options.
• Work with bedside staff personnel in proper techniques, care standards, operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Review and modify; Patients Plan of Care, Chart Review and Compliance of care standards in cooperation with facility staff.

• Care of critical patients in an 18 bed Intensive Care Unit.

DePaul Hospital is where I began my nursing career back in 1990. I was hired as a Graduate Nurse in to their Intensive Care training course. I graduated their course in March of 1990 and took my nursing boards, obtaining dual licensure in the states of Missouri and Illinois. I went to work in DePaul's CVICU and have worked as a staff RN or a Contract RN since in Critical Care or Intensive Care Units and some Emergency Departments for overtime or to assist with needed staffing. After DePaul Hospital I began my career as a Contract/Travel RN working in five states and Gaum always in Critical Care or Intensive Care Units.
