Responsibilities of PHDL Coordinator
1. Stay up to date with the field of Organizational Leadership
2. Gain an awareness of what other schools are doing in their PHDL programs
3. Assess, in concert with other faculty, the entrance papers for writing clarity, research proficiency, and correct English grammar – reassess second attempts
4. Contact students who have been accepted into the PHDL program
5. Respond (phone – email) to students inquiring about the program through the LRCS website
6. Coordinate the fall and spring modules with Vanessa (Hotel accommodations)
7. Lead PHDL Committee meetings, take minutes, submit minutes to Dr. Mapes and a separate digest of the meeting prior to the Faculty Meeting
8. Attend monthly Faculty Meetings
9. Assist professors with minor technical or Moodle questions
10. Update all LD9800 level courses in Moodle prior to the beginning of the semester
11. Update all LD9800 level course syllabi prior to the beginning of the semester
12. Assist students with enrolling in the next correct courses
13. Inform the Executive Vice President and Provost of the courses students may need in the next semester (especially the LD9800 level classes)
14. Work with Dissertation Chairs to gain IRB approval through the IRB process.
15. Serve as the ETD Administrator for LRCS in confirming that the student is cleared to submit his or her dissertation to ProQuest for publication.
Lead the PHDL in developing the Program Review every five years
Assisted along with fellow PhD's in creating and equipping a PhD Department of Organizational Leadership program at Luther Rice College and Seminary in 2022. Made contributions to course work, program initiatives, PhD learner pathway to completing the program, and organizing long term goals for program growth.
