- Will be responsible for the incorporation of all water system upgrades into the CAD system and associated drafting
- Production of 'blueprints' using the CAD system to generate documents for the upgrade and rehabilitation of the water distribution system
- (Blueprints showing the location of hydrants, valves, fittings, mains, etc.) Investigate complaints from the public (on occasion)
- Marks the location of mains and services so they are not damaged
- Plans and estimates the cost of new work done by/for the Water Department (on occasion)
- Calculates and writes up bills for work performed by the Water Department
