Exemplary Service Award Carthage Police Department

While investigating a child death, I determined the cause of death was from a massive head injury. Spending 20 hours with the suspects, it was determined by their admission and forensics that the child had been severely neglected and murdered during an abusive incident. 

Medal of Valor and Medal of Honor from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and the Galena PD.

In September 2004, officers responded to a man who had assaulted a citizen with a baseball bat while she delivered papers. Officers responded to an address where the suspect was at. While trying to affect an arrest, the subject charged at an officer with a large knife. I shot the suspect , stopping the attack within 1 foot of the officer, essentially saving his life.
