I have experience in the California Community College system for 6 years through serving diverse student populations. As a first generation college student, I understand intersectional components that shape the student and I strive to become an educational counselor that uses a holistic approach to serve diverse student populations. I firmly believe in the transformative pathways education holds. Through using an equity lens and student based approach, I am able to alter services to students that best fits them as each students needs are diverse. I am committed to life long learning and use each experience to build my toolbox to continue to efficiently serve students.
