  • I am a published author. My journalistic and critical work has appeared in news publications. A monograph of mine appeared in The American Journal of Semiotics 18 (2002), no. 1-4. I am also a creative writer: “After the Netflix Binge, You Have to Make Your Own Fun" appeared in Bodega Magazine 116 (June 2022).
  • Nominated Veronica Ordonez for the Andrew Mellon Fellowship and directed that project; then directed Veronica's extension of that project as her Senior Honors Thesis, which was one of two projects selected by the University of Houston to represent U of H at the biannual Texas Undergraduate Research Day.
