Dream Playground Foundation Volunteer: Summer 2021 and 2024

  • Volunteered during a community playground build, and subsequent rebuild following its destruction in a structure fire in December of 2023
  • Worked 9 to 10 hour days for a week on each build, digging post holes, hauling support beams, measuring, cutting, and installing fencing, laying brick paths, and many other tasks to help on the project
  • In 2024, led several small teams by assigning jobs, teaching construction skills, and coordinating with other teams on various components of the build
  • In 2024, worked several additional weeks to ensure the playground opened before the district school year ended
