Work History

Scientist I

NEXTCURE
12.2021 - Current
  • Developed flow panels and supported 2 clinical trial programs for biomarker assay development by immunophenotyping for finding biomarkers
  • Managed and worked with team for discovery and platform development of biologics for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and other sloid tumors
  • Developed and interpreted in vivo and in vitro assays and data to support drug discovery programs resulting in filing IND
  • Independently designed, conducted, interpreted, and reported in vitro studies using wide range of established methodologies
  • Played instrumental role in bioanalytical assay development for clinical research and validated analytical methods for measuring soluble drug targets using various matrices; resulted in successful completion of preclinical and clinical studies
  • Initiated and led new strategies of CAR-Macrophage/CAR-T development for solid tumor treatments, effective delivery to in vivo mouse model
  • Proactively participated in manuscript writing for publications, preparation of IND files, and tech-report writing
  • Actively participated in and supported antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) development program; worked in cross-functional team to develop in vivo models for testing efficacy of different ADC compounds; resulted in vivo model development
  • Worked closely with corporate partners to support preclinical, translational, and clinical development of cancer therapeutics.

Postdoctoral Fellow

CHILDREN’S NATIONAL HOSPITAL
10.2020 - 12.2021
  • Nanoparticle Mediated Drug Delivery: Led projects and provided data for different grant proposals
  • Developed pathway of common chemotherapy-induced immune cell migration; developed strategies for nanoparticle-mediated antigen and drug delivery
  • Designed method to send chemotherapeutic drugs and immune checkpoint inhibitors to overcome blood-brain barrier for the treatment of glioma
  • Actively participated in a collaborative project for investigation of T-cell functions by chip-based technologies.

Postdoctoral Fellow

GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY
12.2018 - 10.2020
  • Tumor Model Development/Immunophenotyping: Led various projects on small molecule mediated cancer immunotherapy
  • Conducted multiple projects on drug discovery and immunomodulatory effects of small molecule inhibitors
  • Developed projects related to T-regulatory cell manipulation and trans differentiation to other T-helper cells (Th17, Th1, Th2)
  • Executed combination immunotherapy with tumor-specific vaccine and OX40-anti-PD-1, HDAC inhibitor
  • Actively participated in research on T-cell memory response by MEK inhibitor, with colleagues in lab and published manuscript in nature immunology.

Postdoctoral Fellow

LEUKEMIA BIOLOGY SECTION
02.2014 - 11.2018
  • Led myeloid leukemia research projects using transgenic mouse models; discovered alternative origin of known leukemia
  • Led Lin28b (let7 group miRNA regulator) and H3K27 involvement in CD4 T-cell leukemia
  • Actively participated in research project on progenitor B-1 cell-derived B-cell acute lymphoblastic lymphoma and jointly published manuscript
  • Implemented next-generation sequencing to learn how collaborative mutation helps in the development of leukemia
  • Collaborated and investigated Igh gene rearrangements in SCL-LMO1 transgenic mice tissue samples that showed potential to develop B cells from thymic progenitors.

Postdoctoral Fellow

USUHS
02.2013 - 01.2014
  • QRT-PCR Data Acquisition/Analysis: Developed assays to support cystic fibrosis research; jointly discovered micro-RNA mediated rescue of mutant CFTR(F508del-CFTR) from endoplasmic reticulum to cell membrane; restored function of CFTR protein in cystic fibrosis.
