My long term objective is to increase access to a variety of early childhood experiences and high quality child care. I strive to create and nurture supportive communities, recognizing family, in its many and varied forms, is at the center of our humanity. My passion is to keep forefront a broader vision that supports children and families through environments where they feel welcomed: seen, heard, understood.
In the early 2000's, I took a caregiving break to homeschool my children (ages 4-10) as we navigated health issues and special diets. I took on a small role as part time kindergarten teacher in 2004, but continued with a caregiving break in 2006 to bond with our new baby and homeschool one of the other children. In 2008 we navigated another big change in our family, so I found myself transitioning back into the workforce first with part time, then full-time employment
