  • Manage and scheduling of mediations for Criminal Magistrate referrals and District Court Cases, including coordination of volunteer mediator schedules.
  • Oversight of Private Warrant Court and tracking pending cases for compliance of agreements and payment of restitution. Work includes case management, scheduling mediation sessions, and preparing and filing case files.
  • Provide DSP case updates to District Court Judges and the District Attorney's office.
  • Prepared reports and data to assist DSP Manager and CRC Director with key decision making and strategic operational planning for conflict resolution in the community.
  • Work with Inlivian (formerly the Charlotte Housing Authority) to address and handle appeals for banned tenants using mediation and conciliation methodologies.
  • Work with the DSP Manager to develop and foster positive relationships with the Mediation Network of North Carolina to provide mediation services for Medicaid Appeals.
  • Schedule and conduct Medicaid appeals and mediations for the CRC DSP team. Have successfully handled Medicaid appeals for over five years.
  • Work with the DSP Manager and the CRC Director to resolve citizen complaints of inadequate services and unfair treatment by public agencies and private businesses. This work also involves working out conflicts between private citizens.
  • Work in conjunction with the CRC Director to collaborate and partner with diverse community groups to develop and implement a two year plan to commemorate and acknowledge victims of lynchings in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.
  • Work with the CRC Team to support the monthly meetings of the Community Relations Committee and various subcommittees to address human relations issues in the community.
