I was a Clinical Assistant Professor at State University of New York, Upstate Medical University located in Syracuse, NY.
I have also been responsible for the teaching of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine residents in my prior positions as well as in my current position. I did a clinical attachment in the General Medicine and General surgery department at Lorn and Islands District General Hospital in Oban, Scotland, UK from July ' 2005 to September ' 2006 where I had an overview of medical processes and systems in the NHS and also took some limited clinical duties under the direct supervision of my supervising consultant.
I volunteered at Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Kanchi Kamakoti Childs Trust Hospital located in Chennai while I was preparing for the USMLE Boards.
I also did voluntary work at my uncle's rural private practice in India for a year immediately after medical school. I revisited and volunteered at his clinic during the COVID times for a few months while I was on a sabbatical in India.
