  • Education and Training: Infection Prevention control (IPC); Sponsored by United States Agency International Development (USAID), International Organization for Migration (IOM), Infection Control African Network (ICAN) and Ministry of Health and Sanitation of Republic of Sierra Leone
  • A three (3) Weeks teaching and training for Final Year Students of how to protect yourself, your Patient and your community from Diseases caused by bacteria and virus.Case Study Research: A comparative study of levels of caffeine in China Green Tea “attire” and some brands of imported and locally produced caffeinated drinks in Sierra Leone
  • A Six (6) Months project carried out By Sulayman Muhalim Bangura, Supervised by Mr Foday Thullah. In this project, the levels of Caffeine in “Attire” from leaves of China green tea (Camellia sinesis) and some locally and imported caffeinated drinks sold in Freetown, Sierra Leone was determined. The samples were obtained from different parts of the city (East, Central and West end) of Freetown. The caffeinated drinks investigated are Mega Cola, Ram energy (Local products), Parrot and 3X-energy (imported products). All the samples were analyzed by the Principle of solvent extraction using dichloromethane, CH2Cl2 as solvent in the laboratory.
  • Assessment Study Research: Assessment of the quality of Palm oil sold in the local markets of Sierra Leone. A Three (3) Months Project Carried out by Sulayman Muhalim Bangura, Ibrahim Sorrie Diabbi and Lassie Timbo; supervised by Dr Edward Hinga Sandy. This Project was undertaken in a view of looking at the implication on public health. Palm oil samples were collected in four major markets in four districts in Sierra Leone (Kailahun, Moyamba, Kambia and Western Urban) and analyzed to check for their physico-chemical properties level in them.
  • Toxicology risk assessment;organized by Africa Center of Excellence in Public Health and Toxicological Research (ACE-PUTOR), University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria in collaboration with Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. A four (4) days teaching and training of graduates with Bachelors of Science degree; on the reliable measure of the likelihood adverse human health effects from potential toxi exposure hence generates information about substances' toxic properties so that the health and environmental risk it poses be adequately evaluated and prevented.
