My Spanish speaking skills enhance my interactions with clients by allowing me to assist a more diverse community. I have recently explored teaching endeavors and I absolutely love it. I also have ten years of experience in the banking industry and seven of those ten years have been sales driven. My passion is empowering the community by teaching English to Spanish speakers and helping them discover their potential by showing them ways they can implement what they've learned. This includes educating clients about their options with financial products and understanding credit and how to use it; small businesses are my specialty! I also volunteer at the American Red Cross. I am fairly new to this but so far, it has been an amazing experience to be part of a group that comes together for the better good of the community.
As a Recruiter for the American Red Cross, the objective is to assist those who want to get on the team and volunteer, assisting with their onboarding, setting them up for training, and following up to make sure everything was completed. In my role, I also volunteer for events when volunteers are needed. This may include things like disaster relief efforts, blood drives, and community events, etc.
I am a teacher who provides English lessons for non-English speakers. I focus on the basics of the English language and then progress to useful daily English that is more commonly needed. The goal is to help one become more functional in American society by learning the English language.
I began my translating business fifteen years ago when I discovered a great need for it in my community. I translate/interpret by reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and English. My services vary depending on my client's need. From translating a piece of mail to presenting in a court setting on behalf of my client to attending a doctor's visit with my client to translate for them.
As an assistant teacher, I provide support to the head teacher. I monitor the students as they complete assignments or tests; I reinforce the learning process by breaking it down for beginners, sitting aside with them to enforce the basics; I go to student's classrooms to provide support in their non ESL classes; I also assist with clerical duties such as making copies, recording meeting minutes, and filing documents in student's official school records. I participate, as needed, in parent/teacher meetings to record the topic discussed, the outcome, and plan moving forward, if any.
As Branch Operations Leader, I was the first point of contact for branch audits. This required a great deal of attention to detail to execute policy and procedure with no errors. I kept track of all retention to make sure they were within the required retention dates and that all documents were current. I was the vault custodian as well; responsible for the cash on hand of the branch. Balancing and processing transactions were to be done with a great amount of accuracy. I provided notary public services in this role and also provided wire transfer services for my branch. I also served as one of two bilingual employees withing the entire Gulfport/Biloxi footprint. I supervised the teller line and provided overrides when needed and provided coaching in areas of improvement to ensure each teller was growing and learning in the teller role.
First point of contact for the President-MS Gulf Coast of Trustmark Bank. In this role,
my main focus is closing commercial real estate loans, paying close attention to detail
in order to prepare the loan documents used in the closing process. It is important to
maintain clear, concise communication with real estate attorney’s that also assist in
the loan closing process, making sure I order title work and obtain any information
they may need to complete requests in a timely manner. I submit requests for
appraisals on various types of properties and must be familiar with the different
requests available depending on the type of property we are working with. I must be
sure to comply with banking rules and regulations at all times and keep up with any
changes made ensuring compliance is maintained. I also work closely with other bank
employees to complete any daily bank routines.
As a Personal Banker, my focus was building and maintaining relationships with Wells Fargo's customers, having meaningful customer interactions getting to know them and provide financial advice and product knowledge as needed. This included partnering with business services, wealth management, merchant services, mortgage, and beneficiary services. I prided myself as a Business Advocate, expanding my expertise to reach a much larger customer base, helping their businesses grow by recognizing opportunities for growth, credit, and emergencies. I assisted with regular maintenance such as debit card replacement and online banking, to more complex needs such as Estate Services, Beneficiary Services, Trust Accounts, Business Accounts, high dollar loan applications, and more. I also provided branch support by helping with daily functions such as opening and closing the branch, balancing and filling the ATM, balancing the vault, completing various tasks such as compliance, testing the ATM for functionality, ensuring that the team always remained adherent to policy and procedure in order to always be prepared for audits.
