  • Coordinate with material specialists in safe and timely expedition of critical and logistical parts for grounded aircraft throughout United world wide system. Work and coordinate with maintenance control supervisors, aircraft planning, engineering, internal/external shops, inventory planning and Boeing and Airbus technical support to determine and execute the best method of obtaining, borrowing, sourcing and shipping of correct parts needed for maintenance requirements from vendors, parts brokers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and other airlines (OAL) at best overall cost for company. Work closely with the repair and modification group/internal repair shops to expedite parts required to affect the removal of costly borrowed parts. Determine aircraft grounding dates and when due back in service. Coordinate complex off-line parts transfers between other airlines, suppliers and couriers by fostering strong relationships with all involved parties. Initiate purchase orders and track receipt, payment and finalization of the required materials. Maximize loan revenue generation when accommodating loans and sales of company assets to other airlines. Understand corporate and government regulated manuals inclusive of General Maintenance Manual (GMM), Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), various service bulletins and different engineering change request authorizations (ECRA).
