• Management of all members of the nursing team (Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Assistants, Shift Leads and Nurse Trainer), to including hiring, schedules while keeping non-doctor hours within budget; payroll, conflict resolution, accountability conversations, as well as training and medical excellence.

• Work directly with the Hospital Manager and Medical Director to:
• Ensure a good Patient, Customer, and VEGgie experience by encouraging all VEGgies to embrace and maintain VEG Culture within our hospital.
• Maintain a high level of medical quality at all times by creating or updating SOP's when needed, in collaboration with the Medical Director and Nurse Trainer.
• Promote and encourage learning and growth of all members of the nursing team.
• Evaluate efficiency of the nursing team and balancing the staffing needs with a mix in skill & knowledge levels, and identifying coaching opportunities.

Provided nursing care to incoming emergencies as well as critical care for hospitalized patients, including anesthesia (ASA I-V) and surgical procedures, central lines, urinary catheters, constant rate infusions and high-flow oxygen.

Supervisor and floor nurse of a 50 patient ICU in a 24/7 ER practice with specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology and Cardiology. 50% of my time was spent on management duties including scheduling, involvement in the hiring process, accountability conversations and teaching; and 50% as a emergency and critical care nurse on the ICU floor.
