Summary

I have always been a self starter in my occupation. I was able to utilize my experience for my town of Abington to assist our Health Agent on inspections of our restaurants and food establishments. I did that for 5 years as a volunteer.

I am very familiar with the 2013 Food Code that the Commonwealth of massachusetts now has employed and eel that I could effectively do this position for Kingston and others that are in your mutual aide circuit.

I would appreciate your consideration for this position and hope that you will take into account my many years in food service and in instructional service to the National Restaurant Association as a ServSafe instructor for over 10 years.

Job overview

  • Abington went through a time of training and guiding our Health Agent through the waters of food codes. As a member of the Board of Health I was able to reshape and guide our Health Agent through these times. There was also a time of 8 month that Abington did not have a Health Agent and then our town had a new Health Agent. I was able to bridge these times, mostly by reaching out to various public agencies such as The Coalition for a Tobacco free Massachusetts. This helped our town provide guidance during Vaping stores allowing vaping to exists during open hours. Of coarse these shops were shut down by the Governor after those hurdles were crossed.
  • I was able t get programs off the ground to assist Abington to get mosquito spraying from the Plymouth County Mosquito control, as well as Implement tick control programs for the towns community access program.
  • I was able to get our compost site workers to be CORI'd and SORI'd for the protection of Abington residents.
  • My real life experience is mainly in food service and teaching ServSafe classes and by this virtue I humbly ask for your consideration of this employment opportunity
