I am a veteran teacher of 34 years, my last 23 years here in USD320 Wamego. My experience has given me many skills that help me focus on providing a structured, safe and fun environment for kids to learn an instrument and to create music for the very first time. My mission is to create good human beings that create wonderful and amazing music, a skill and experience they will take with them now and for the rest of their lives.

I am an experienced clinician, speaker and adjudicator. Utilizing my classroom management skills, I work with Kansas State University's music education students as a guest speaker on music classroom management and a cooperating teacher for the past 13 years. I have been a guest conductor for several middle level league honor bands and adjudicate for the Kansas State High School Activities Association district auditions and district/ state solo and ensemble festivals for the past 10 years. I have been the KMEA North Central Districts Middle Level Teacher of the year three times, 2007, 2015, 2022.
