Susan Gourley

• Responsible for management of day to day business and clinical operations of a multi-specialty ASC. This includes management and development of 40+ business office and clinical teammates.
• Fiscally responsible for monthly and annual operational and capital budget along with contract management of a 3 OR and 2 Endoscopy room Center.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations including maintaining accreditation for the ASC with Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and CMS.
• Have built and maintained positive working relationships with physicians and staff to support the organization.

• Monitored and evaluated nursing staff performance, providing feedback and guidance to support standards of care.
• Oversaw and approved recruitment, hiring, orientation and development of new nursing staff.
• Led Patient Care Committee Meetings monthly and responsible for the Clinical quality program of the ASC.
• Ensured patient needs were met in accordance with the instruction of the physician and facility administrative procedures.
• Responsible for the ordering of medications for the Center including registering with the DEA for controlled substances.
• Established new policies and updated existing policies to improve standard of care for patients.

Responsible to oversee the surgical flow and maintain appropriate staffing levels throughout the day.

Function as a staff RN in pre-op and PACU as needed.

Participate and help lead quarterly team meetings in conjunction with the other members of the leadership team.

• Coordinate pre- and post operative patient care with the patient care team
• Evaluate and ensure patient readiness prior to surgery.
• Recovered patients in PACU and ensured patient readiness for discharge via education and demonstration with the patient and caregivers.
• Circulate and assist in surgical cases with focus on GI and opthalmology cases.
