I retired from the North Slope Borough when I received a call from the Executive Director of Inupiat Community of the Arctic Slope to fill in as a Pull Tab Manager Until I moved to Wasilla where I purchased a home.

I have been a Tribal Judge for the Native Village of Barrow since the establishment in 2004 of Tribal Courts until I moved to Wasilla in 2021.

Last Years

I retired from the North Slope Borough and received a call from the Executive Director of Inupiat Community of the Arctic Slope to fill in as a Pull Tab Manager until I moved to my home in Wasilla. 

I traveled to all the North Slope villages in various capacities, worked very closely with village representatives, liaisons, Corporate presidents, City Mayors, liaisons and staff, tribal leaders also prepared and attended meeting with the Village Tri-Lateral Groups in Nuiqsut, Point Hope and Wainwright.

I appreciate given the opportunity to review my application, I have a lot to offer regarding Inupiaq Language, Heritage, Cultural, and traditional knowledge, I have traveled to all North Slope Villages, working very closely with the Village City, Tribal and Corporate Representatives regarding sensitive land use and community issues. I also have done numerouse community events such  as piuraagiaqta, Easter Egg Hunt, War on Drugs, Community Snowmachine races, Community Soccer games and so forth. I listed all workforce events to show my years of employment with no break in service even employed after retirement.  I am currently seeking employment to keep busy and help communities with continuing sensitive land use issues and keep the Inupiaq Traditions, Culrural and Heritage alive.

Family Information

I am married to Raymond Mendoza Atos of 31 years, We have 3 beautiful children, Jonathan Maligialuk Atos, 36, Alloyson Kapuk Terzioski, 31 and Raymond Kangigaaluk Atos 27. With 9 beautiful grandchildren. My parents are Arnold Sr. and Louisa (skipper) I have 8 siblings, My mother was born in Aklavik, Northwest Territories, Canada and my father was born in Wainwright. They also lived in Kaktovik before I was born.  Inupiaq tradition it is very important to know your family lineage. I was born and raised in Barrow and Nuiqsut, my grandparents Neil and Annie (silameo) Allen moved to Nuiqsut when the establishment began, my fathers parents are Susan (Ahkivgak) and Simeon Patkotak Sr. Which my family and I have been actively in the family whaling crew since birth. I have relatives in each North Slope Village including statewide and several in the lower 48.
