Throughout my career as an educator I have always maintained the highest standards of learning, and educating myself for the betterment of my students as well as my own professional growth. I am certified in K-8 as well as Gifted and Talented in Idaho. My experience beyond the classroom has included many extracurricular and intervention programs to be well acquainted with all students and peers within the school, and to make sure that I am a well-rounded teacher. I am confident working with all students regardless of background or learning abilities. My personal motivation, flexibility, energy, and willingness to be involved I feel would be a great asset in any position.
During my teaching career I have been involved in a number of extracurricular programs within my schools including the following: Morning IRI Intervention, SES After-School Tutoring, 21st Century teaching and substitution work as needed, Geography Bee coach and teacher, Ski Night Coordinator, Girls on the Run mentor/coach, Walking Program coordinator, Leadership Team, school newsletter designing and publishing, STEAM District school representative, STEAM Family Night coordinator, field trip coordinator, assembly coordinator, Future City coordinator and coach, Science Bowl coordinator and coach, and grant writing for additional supplies and opportunities within my schools, In addition I have worked to develop many partnerships between organizations within the community and my classroom students including: volunteering at local assisted living homes,, the local food pantry, West Valley Animal Shelter, Boise Rescue Mission, and CenturyLink non-profit partnership to name a few. In addition to my many extracurricular activities and involvement I also have over 70 professional development credits for continual learning and certification with a wide range of subjects.
