I have also worked for a very busy physician's office (Lubbock, TX) handling insurance claims and authorizations, and a Radiology Clinic (Midland, TX) doing reception and later claims.
I was secretary and associate minister for a Unity Church for 4 years.
I worked for Armour Meat Regional Sales Office in Kansas City, MO as switchboard operator.

I managed the Chicago showroom for Carolina Seating Company.
I did data entry (payroll) and data management (rehires) for Walgreens Corporate Office, Dearfield, IL
Reviewed patient insurance benefits for coverage of hearing and/or speech services. Advised clinicians
Obtained authorization for services where required and maintained a log to determine status of requests and duration of authorization.
Contacted referring Doctor's office as needed for new referrals to obtain continuing authorizations.
Initially filed primary and secondary insurance claims and appeals. This was later outsourced.
Coordinated collections with Accounts Receivable personnel.

Completed tasks with minimal supervision
Worked to improve processes and management of data to track information on referral status
I am looking for a position with 20-30 hours per week and minimal supervision. I don't need benefits. I already have insurance and retirement benefits. Due to arthritis, I may not feel like doing much on a given day. First thing in the morning, my balance may not be the greatest - I use a cane or a walker.
I know I am overqualified for most data entry positions, but that is what I am looking for, especially work at home.
