Early Career, National Certified School Psychologist committed to delivering comprehensive support to students, families, and interventionists, and educators through psychoeducational evaluations and assessments, positive behavior support, data collection, collaboration and consultation, and mental health support. Experience administering psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents ages 3-18. Knowledgeable in the MTSS process, testing for and identifying learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism, pre-evaluation and placement, and in creating functional behavior assessments and positive behavior plans.
• Perform virtual and in-person academic advising; provide customer service and advising to community college students using departmental email accounts, social media, Skype, live chat features, and other technology. Create and implement social media for Advising and Retention.
• Work with first-time, transfer, returning and current online and on-campus students to discuss placement, programs of study, career goals and major selection, academic progress, transfer, and graduation/goal completion.
• Assist students in developing individual academic success plans.
• Teach DEP2004, Human Growth and Development, Fall 2017 Semester. Introduced best-practices in academic psychology research. Extensive use of Canvas and digital supplement to the textbook. Challenged and motivated students through lectures and discussion.
• Create an Academic Warning course as an intervention for students on Academic Warning after their first semester at TCC.
